I was dreaming I was in a mall complex trying to get around and there was this guy leading me around and he was being really dodgy on how to get back none of the rooms or stores made sense but in my head it was a mall and progressively more and more of the rooms tried to turn hedonist and I’d try to say no and move in but the guy would drag me in them but eventually after having done some horrific things in the hedonist rooms I was able to get back the the central hub and I was asking him how to leave and he said you have to set everything to baseline and the table turned into a screen with a grid of photos some gray other vibrant and he said I have to set all the vibrant ones to there baseline to reset it so for instance there was a photo of my mom where she was having fun and I’d have to swap it out for a neutral gray photo of her then I started looking down the board of photos until I saw a cluster that wasn’t Gray and as I stepped over the weird guide man sighed and it was tons of photos of Saleen my ex girlfriend and doing various things playing cuddling having sex all things that were fantastic but I flipped one photos over and it was the gray photo but more importantly I wasn’t in it and as I flipped them I started bawling as I saw myself disappear from all these memories the color disappearing her smile fading and I woke up my eyes sore my face wet this is the only time I’ve ever cried in my sleep
Dreams are often a reflection of our subconscious mind, filled with symbols and emotions that reveal our internal struggles, desires, and fears. Your dream features several complex themes that can be interpreted to gain insights into your emotional state and personal experiences.
Being in a mall complex where nothing makes sense and rooms lead to unexpected places might symbolize feelings of confusion or being lost in some aspect of your life. The mall, a place generally full of choices, variations, and paths, may represent life choices or opportunities. The confusion and lack of cohesive order can indicate a period of uncertainty or a search for direction in your personal or professional life.
The mysterious and untrustworthy man leading you can represent an aspect of your own consciousness—or an external influence—that causes you to face temptations or distractions. This figure might symbolize doubts or negative influences steering you away from a true or desired path.
These rooms you find yourself dragged into, where you end up doing horrific things, could signify the inner conflict between your desires and your morals. It may reflect internal struggles with indulgences or actions that you might not be proud of, yet feel drawn towards.
The act of needing to reset by setting vibrant photos to a gray “baseline” hints at a desire to neutralize emotions or experiences. This part of your dream could point to a longing to simplify emotions or return to a more stable, less chaotic state in your life.
Photos symbolize memories and experiences. The vibrant photos of your mother and then turning them gray indicate minimizing positive emotions or lively connections, perhaps because of some guilt or a need to emotionally distance yourself. This could also be about managing expectations or realities in relationships.
The cluster of photos featuring Saleen, your ex-girlfriend, suggests that you harbor significant memories or unresolved feelings regarding your past relationship. The act of flipping these photos and seeing yourself disappear may reflect feelings of loss, grief, or the acceptance of moving on. The absence of yourself in the gray photos could symbolize the realization of life without her or the ending of shared experiences, leading to genuine sadness and regret.
This signifies a release of deep emotions. It might be that the dream processed lingering grief, heartbreak, or unresolved issues with your ex-girlfriend, helping you to confront emotions you hadn’t fully processed while awake.
Overall, this dream paints a picture of you going through a transformative process involving emotional conflicts, self-exploration, and dealing with past relationships. It suggests a need for balance, clarity, and perhaps emotional closure. Allowing yourself to fully experience and understand these mixed emotions, desires, and the end of certain relationships can be pivotal in moving forward towards a more structured and peaceful state of mind.
